Hosted in Tianjin from January 8 to January 20, 2014, the Fugao Goldin Snow Polo World Cup is a pioneering international event that integrates high-end polo sports with winter snow scenarios in China, setting a benchmark for the innovative integration of culture, sports and winter tourism. Centering on professional snow polo competitions, the event gathers global teams and presents splendid and elegant competitive scenes, showcasing the unique charm of the noble sport to local audiences. To enrich the on-site experience and weaken the niche attribute of professional sports events, APAX undertook the overall scene design and production of the supporting venue. By creatively integrating cultural symbols of 12 countries and classic polo elements, the team built the exclusive themed snow park "The Whimsical World". Based on the natural snowfield environment, the spatial design combines intense athletic atmosphere with dreamy snowland aesthetics. Layered international cultural decorations and polo-themed installations jointly create an attractive and immersive snow wonderland that balances professionalism and entertainment. The elaborate on-site production provides casual interactive and sightseeing spaces for audiences, greatly enriching the event’s dimensionality. This project not only elevates the international standard of Tianjin’s winter sports events, but also promotes the localized popularization of elite polo culture, realizing the innovative integration of international noble sports resources and mass winter cultural tourism scenarios.
