"Obsessed with Prada Rong Zhai" is a collaborative creation between Prada and acclaimed director Wong Kar-wai, presented within Shanghai's century-old Rong Zhai estate as a cultural dialogue bridging Milan and Shanghai. Examining spatial narrative and formal language, the activation anchors itself in Wong's signature mirrored aesthetics and the "tête-bêche symbiosis" concept, implanting contemporary visual tension into the classical Shanghainese architectural fabric of Rong Zhai. Through the interweaving of historical space and gastronomic experience, a sophisticated yet ambiguous cultural field emerges. Production-wise, resident chef Riccardo La Perna joins forces with Lorenzo Lunghi from Torre at Milan's Fondazione Prada, crafting an exclusive dual-chef tasting menu that initiates a pure culinary dialogue—juxtaposing Italian culinary tradition with local ingredient contexts upon a single table.
