As the first permanent art jewelry appreciation space in mainland China, the "Heart Residence" is nestled within the 1927 neoclassical landmark Hamilton House. This activation employs Chinese garden architecture as its spatial narrative spine, transforming a formerly static viewing venue into a flowing, living Eastern elegant garden. Jewelry artist Cindy Chao invited three world-class masters—Dutch architectural designer Tom Postma, French sculptor Ingrid Donat, and French crossover furniture designer Hervé Van der Straeten—alongside a four-nation artisan team for year-long transoceanic collaboration. From structural architecture to spatial fragrance and cultural collections, traditional gardening techniques such as borrowed scenery and facing scenery create an immersive realm where scenery shifts with every step.
